The MAX 40 is sized to provide for 40 cubic feet of compacted non-hazardous waste
material in a disposable, heavy-duty, woven polypropylene bag for storage and
transport. The hydraulic system employs an air-driven hydraulic pump to power the
ram and container-tilting cylinder. Personnel selectively operate a pneumatic
pushbutton-type valve station to control the unit. The control system includes
a safety means to prevent inadvertent operation that may damage the compactor
or affect personnel safety.
